Bear Safety for Newcomers

This project was inspired by one of my English students. She shared a story of her first time seeing a bear in Canada. Without knowing the risks or dangers, she thought it was cute and followed it into a bush to take photos. Thankfully, the bear was not bothered!

It reminded me of my own lack of awareness regarding poisonous snakes when living in Taiwan. Sometimes, we just don’t know what we don’t know!

I created this microlearning experience using Articulate Rise 360 & intentionally kept it simple. The learning outcome: Learners will be able to react appropriately when they see a black bear out on a walk in the community.
